Design and build of a brand new £7.8m light maintenance depot on an existing operational sidings. Fortunum managed the design stages and were on site full time to manage the principal contractor during the works. The project was constructed on a very narrow site and included 1200m of new double track and all the facilities and equipment to service 2 Nova 3 trains for Transpennine Express. We managed the safety validation process and worked closely with Network Rail and other stakeholders.
